Guide of Logo Design

Logo is of vital importance for an iGEM team. A good logo can be an advantage in communication, judge and presentation.
Here we made a guide for new iGEM members to show them how to design their logos.

Easy identification

Make your team logo easy to recognize. Try to add something can stand for your team in your logo.

Originality

The iGEM logo is often used as a part of many team logos with or without any change. Honestly, it is a good way to show the relationship between the iGEM and the team. And a new image created by team with the meaning of iGEM used in logo will be great, too!

Intelligibility

The logo with clear symbolic significance will be good.

Universality

A good iGEM team logo should have universality so that can be used in wiki, poster, banner, name cards, team uniforms, etc. It requires that the logo is good-looking in all these medias. For example, the logo can be recognized in both monochrome and multicolor, can be harmonious in all the size of the background.
