Experiments & Protocols

Below are some of the recipes and protocols we used during our project.

Recipes

LB Broth (makes 1 liter)

1. 10.0 g tryptone
2. 10.0 g NaCl
3. 5.0 g yeast extract
4. Adjust volume to 1.0 L with DI H₂O
5. Adjust pH to 7.5 with NaOH/HCl as necessary.
6. Sterilize via autoclaving.

Polyacrylamide Gel (makes 5 milliliters)

1. 500 µL 10X TBE
2. 35 µL ammonium persulfate
3. 375 µL 40% acrylamide solution
4. 2 µL TEMED
5. Adjust volume to 5 mL with DI H₂O
