DNA isolation from Gram-positive bacteria

Use the protocol of the <a class="link" href="https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/content/dam/sigma-aldrich/docs/Sigma/Bulletin/na2100bul.pdf">Sigma-Aldrich GenElute™ Bacterial Genomic DNA Kit</a>to purify Gram positive bacteria DNA out of agarose gel. Instead of adding binding buffer in a 1:1 ratio to the DNA sample as noted in the protocol, add binding buffer a 2:1 ratio to the DNA sample. To dissolve the gel in the binding buffer, vortex the sample.
