Abhinaya Anandamurugan is 26 years old and comes from India. She is currently studying Molecular Bioengineering at the TU Dresden. She finished her Bachelors in Biotechnology in 2010 from Anna University, Chennai, India.

She did her Bachelor thesis at M.S. Swaminathan Research foundation, Chennai on analyzing "Zinc Solubilizing Bacteria involved in gluconic acid production". She worked 4 years before starting the Master's and she is currently working at the Bioinnovation Zentrum Dresden.

In his free time Ashwin likes watching trains and hiking. He is a foodie and likes to try new and different cuisines. Whenever he is not in the lab or the class he is sleeping. He describes his experience with iGEM as "its sheer hard work and patience".

About us

Abhinaya Anandamurugan is 26 years old and comes from India. She is currently studying Molecular Bioengineering at the TU Dresden. She finished her Bachelors in Biotechnology in 2010 from Anna University, Chennai, India. She did her Bachelor thesis at M.S.
