Plastic pollution is a real problem. Every oceans are polluted by micro and macro plastic particules. Macroparticules aren’t that much a problem because they are big enough to be removed. However, microparticules are so small that they get eaten and they can enter the food chain. How can we remove something that we can’t see by eyes ? That’s where we step in !
PlastiCure is a biological system designed to degrade PET (which is one of the most common plastic) and use the degradation products to synthesize bio-active compounds : we aim to transform plastic waste into a profitable life-saving drug : erythromycin A;
