Technology Committee
We are looking to form a new iGEM Technology Committee comprised of researchers from around the world with a focus on bringing the best technology to the iGEM competition and community. If you're excited about iGEM, have expertise in one (or more) areas of technology as it relates to synthetic biology, and want to get involved, then please fill out our brief Application Form below!
Initial duties will include briefing the committee on current technologies you are familiar with, determining the criteria for introducing new technologies to iGEM, and providing recommendations to iGEM Headquarters based on these discussions. Members of iGEM Headquarters will also be involved in these discussions and will facilitate meetings of this committee. We anticipate quarterly meetings via teleconference or video call, with an annual in-person meeting taking place at the Giant Jamboree.
Our first annual meeting will take place in Boston at this year's Giant Jamboree (Sept. 24-28th), with at least one teleconference meeting scheduled prior to the Jamboree. If you cannot attend the Giant Jamboree in person this year but are interested in being involved with this new committee, please submit an application.
