Giant Jamboree/What To Bring

Bring:

Item	Why?
Your laptop	You must give your presentation from your own laptop. The Giant Jamboree cannot provide computers for this purpose.
Display adapters for your laptop	The projectors at the Hynes Convention Center accept DVI and VGA input. You must bring any necessary adapters so your laptop can display in one of these formats.

Do Not Bring:

Item	Why?	What to bring instead
Biological samples or living microorganisms	There are complex safety and legal issues around transporting biological samples, especially across national borders. Because the Giant Jamboree is such a busy time, iGEM HQ will not be able to address these complex issues at the Jamboree. Please also see iGEM's policy against release of wet-lab projects.	Data, photos, or videos of your biological samples
Balloons	Balloons are prohibited by the Hynes Convention Center. This includes both helium and CO2 balloons.	Alternative decorations, such as bunting or streamers
Stickers or adhesive items	Stickers should not be brought to the Hynes Convention Center because people may stick them onto walls and other surfaces that can be damaged by adhesives.	Postcards, flyers, pamphlets, bookmarks, etc. etc. etc.
