Some organisms and genetic parts present safety risks beyond what is "normal" for iGEM. The iGEM Safety Committee needs to know about these organisms/parts early, so that we can help you ensure you are using them in a safe manner. The Check-In form is very short, and it allows you to easily let the Safety Committee know about a risky organism/part you are thinking about using.

When you think about a new organism/part, please consult the White List to find out whether it requires a Check-In.
