As part of her role, she dealt with interviewing politicians, developing parts of the wiki and producing the survey for the human practices part of our project . She was also involved in constructing the parameters list for the modelling.

  • James Aston - James is our main team member dealing with modelling. He developed the model for our team, whilst also helping the Trento team with their modelling as part of a collaboration. He also helped to design and maintain the wiki.

  • Anna Beltrami - Anna was involved in the wet lab work, mostly in competent cell production. Outside of the lab, Anna organised the team, ensuring we were on top of deadlines. She was also key in communicating with other teams, setting up our collaboration with the Trento team. She was also involved in outreach, interviewing the Italian MP.

  • Moyra Chikomo - Moyra was involved in creating poster, making post notes for the outreach and developed GUI for the modelling. She was one of the main presenters at the Stacey Symposium outreach event, and helped to develop our project poster.

  • Richard Crane - Richard took part in most of the Lab work. His main contribution lies specifically in the imaging of the congo red and heme plates for the validation part of our project. He has made most agarose gels within the team.

  • Rob Middlewick - Rob was involved in lab work at the initial stages of the project where he did mostly transformations. His main contribution lies within the scientific writing of our project. This included the project description and the description of our BioBricks.

  • Katarina Pisani - Kat being part of the main lab team was involved in almost all the wet lab aspects of our project. Her predominant contribution included carrying out PCR reaction protocols to produce our main raw materials of our experiments. She also carried out ligations.

  • Jonathan Pope - Jonathan being our social secretary organised social events, and managed social networking sites. He was also responsible for creating our poster and Envirowire logo. He also presented about iGem at Stacey Symposium outreach event.

  • Natalie Sloan - Natalie took part in designing the wiki and the Kent iGEM logo. She is also part of the main lab team where she has done more mini-preps than any other members in the lab team. Furthermore, she performed transformation and Gibson assembly reactions.

  • Suparna Thakali - Suparna’s contribution includes being part of the main lab team where she mainly took part in carrying out Gibson assembly and ligation reactions. She also took part at the university’s outreach event presenting to the general public about our project.

  • Alice Tomlinson - Alice was involved in variety of areas such as organising the outreach aspect of our project such as gathering MPs opinion on synthetic biology, interviewing politicians and presenting our project to the general public at the public event.
