−	iGEM Eindhoven 2014 developed membrane proteins to which they could attach any azide-functionalized molecule. The attachment of DBCO-functionalized molecules happens through the SPAAC Click Chemistry reaction, a fully bio-orthogonal reaction. To enable the attachment, they introduced a non-natural amino acid, exploiting the Amber Stop Codon. They were rewarded the prestigious 'Best New Application' prize for undergraduates for their work. Meet the team

We are a group of 11 enthusiastic and motivated undergraduate students from Eindhoven University of Technology. Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) is a research university specializing in engineering science & technology. The university focuses on science for society, science for industry and science for science. Strategic areas on which the TU/e is focussing are Energy, Health and Smart Mobility.
