Our bacteria will going to express antimicrobial peptides to solve the rising problem of bacterial resistance. Our target is to develop it into a potential material of wound dressing. So we will test the peptides on Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus to know it's ability to kill the Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus. And we will always test these peptides in human cell culture using the HaCaT cell line and human fibroblasts cell to check it's ability to help wounds healing. Our target is to develop antimicrobial peptides into a potential material of wound dressing. Our bacteria will express two kinds of antimicrobial peptides: Epinecidin-1 and Signiferin . Signiferin have the great ability to kill Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus that had already proved by 2013 iGEM team:TU-Delft. Epinecidin-1 has the ability to help wounds healing. We let Ecoli to express them into culture medium and purified it to make wound dressing. |
