Consent Forms
Please note that the information on this page is information migrated from 2014.igem.org.
iGEM HQ is currently working on updating this information for the iGEM 2015 competition.
When that process has been completed, this notice will be removed.
Why do high school track participants need to complete consent forms?
For 2015, the iGEM high school competition is folded into the main competition meaning they participate according to the same timeline, fees, registration requirements, etc.
In addition to completing the regular registration requirements, high school participants must complete and submit consent forms as they did in the iGEM High School Division because:
- The majority of high school participants are minors (under the age of 18)
- High school teams typically work at their high school or are guests in a university lab -- in both cases, we want to ensure that the appropriate people are informed of the team's participation in iGEM be it the high school principal or the university department head.
All consent forms must be submitted before the team is approved for participation in iGEM 2015.
