iGEM Pasteur team

Students :

  • Mathilde Ananos :
  • I am a 19-years-old student in Biology, History and Philosophy of Sciences at UPMC. I like discovering new sciences and cultures. I am very happy to be a member of the iGEM Pasteur team and I hope that our Project will please you!

  • Valentin Bailly :
  • Hi, I'm 20. I study Chemistry in Paris 6. I dream working with much of people coming from different kind of studies on a same technical project from the beginning to the end.

  • Jules Caput :
  • Hey, I'm 20 years old and I'm currently studying Biology and Chemistry at UPMC university in Paris. I'm very curious and passionate about things that are complicated to understand. I've never done iGEM before, so I hope that it'll be a lot of fun!

  • Javier Castillo Padilla :
  • Hello everybody ! I am 24 years old and my main fields of interest are Cancerology and Biopharmaceutical development. I currently study at the Univeristy of Paris Sud. Being at the iGEM Pasteur team has been a great experience for me, because we could apply our skills and knowledge to design and contruct a living solution !

  • Alma Chapet--Batlle :
  • Hi, I am 20 and I am a second year bachelor student with a double major in Chemistry and Biology. I love learning and understanding the way the world works.

  • Maxime Entremont :
  • Hi, I study biology and life ingenineering at UPMC. I like to learn how biology/life works and I would like to learn more about it, that's why I'm doing the iGEM competition.

  • Lucas Krauss :
  • Hello people!!! I am currently studying Life Sciences at University Pierre and Marie Curie. I am eager to learn new things every day and like to be challenged.

  • Florence Moesh :
  • Hi! I'm currently studying biology at Pierre & Marie Curie University, and social sciences at the Paris Institute of Political sciences. I'm really interested in the major scientific issues, that's why I like the idea of working on a project with other students to find new ways of thinking and bring up innovative solutions.

  • Thomas Neff :
  • Hello! I'm 21 years old andI'm a student at UPMC. I like all sciences but I prefere Biology. I would like to do a master, but for instance, I want success our iGEM Project!

  • Kévin Plouchart :
  • Hey! I am 21 years old and I study at University Pierre and Marie Curie. I want to discover, understand all parts of biotechnologies and nanotechnologies.

  • Sertac Tas :
  • Hi, I am 20 years old. I am Bachelor of biology at University Pierre and Marie Curie. I wanna ameliorate the world with Science!!!

  • Amélie Vandendaële :
  • Hi, I am an 2nd year bachelor with a double major in chemistry and biology at UPMC. I want to discover the mysteries of Science and I'm really excited about doing the iGEM competition.

  • Pierre Vilela :
  • Hey guys! I'm currently studying at University Pierre and Marie Curie. I am 20 years old and I am in love with biochemistry and biotechnology.

Instructors (principals contacts) :

  • Floriane Cherrier :
  • Hi, I created this new team in France. I'm a technician at Institut Pasteur in Parasitology. Indeed I work on mosquitos which are responsible for the malaria.

  • Deshmukh Gopaul :
  • Accompanying the Pasteur iGEM team as principal contact, and in charge of Undergraduate Studies at Institut Pasteur, I also head a group studying DNA site specific recombination by Structural Biology methods. Adaptation to the environment through genome evolution is one of my major interests.

Instructors:

  • Alexander Arkhipenko :
  • I am third year PhD student studying Prion Protein traffic in polarized cells. I am in love with the beauty of biological systems.

  • Jérémy Brunet :
  • I am a technician at the Pasteur Institute in virology and vaccinology. I am fascinated by all aspects of biology.

  • Claudia Demarta-Gatsi :
  • I am a third year Phd student working on malaria immunology, a field that I love! I like to find out how our body works and the idea that with science we can help people to live better!

  • Muriel Gugger :
  • Head of the Collection of Cyanobacteria at the Institut Pasteur, Cyanobacteriologist trained during the last 15 years, and enjoying omics to decipher the puzzle of their natural products.

  • Caroline Lambert :
  • I am a second year Phd student working on the immunological control of retroviruses in Human, and I am so excited to participate to the IGEM adventure!!

  • Eric Legrand :
  • I am a researcher working on malaria drug resistance at Pasteur Institute.

Advisors :

  • Johann Beghain :
  • Bioinformatics is in the place! I am an bioinformatician engineer at Pasteur Institute, working on malaria resistance.

  • Mélanie Criqui :
  • I’m studying oncology at the University of Paris-Sud and I also had an iGEM experiment as a student last year: I was a member of Paris-Saclay team. It convinced me to continue the iGEM competition and that why I’m here today.

  • Laure Coutos-Thénevot :
  • I’m a 23 years old student of the Paris XI University, specialized in oncology. In the iGEM Team, I work on the graphic side of the project.
