Why iGem?

Applied mathematics is of no use if you don’t have the field of application. I had never thought of synthetic biology beforehand, but as soon as I heard about this it got my interest. Complex biological reactions to model, who wouldn’t like the sound of it? Turns out it was really interesting and a bit more challenge that I thought. I think there is some kind of conspiracy of biologists regarding naming the enzymes..

Describe yourself shortly

I'm....

Responsibilities in the team:

Modeling, coding wiki and web page

Tamannae Alam

A third year Biology and a second year Physics student. Is generally interested in science.

Tuukka Miinalainen

A fourth year student in Bioprocess Technology with a minor in Process Chemistry. Interested in biobased materials and fuels.

Victor Rodrigues

A second year student with a major in Mathematics and experience in Computer Science and Theoretical Physics.
