Introduction

It is not easy for life scientists to do research here because e.g. animal experiments or genetical engineering are often critized very strongly. On the one hand people are influenced by fear-mongering news reports rather than scientific knowledge (or insights) and often have negative stereotypes in mind. On the other hand the communication between scientists and the general public is lacking ... This is why we want to build a bridge between scientists and the public to gain a better understanding.
