Shien Yang Lee

Shien Yang is a mechanical engineering major in his senior year. He hails from Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and had lived and attended secondary school in Singapore prior to NYU Abu Dhabi. Before deciding to pursue his current major, he seriously considered majoring in biology and had had significant experience in basic biology lab techniques from his high school education. Outside of iGEM, he is involved in a research project in plant biomechanics where mechanical engineers collaborate with plant scientists to find novel ways to address the problem of stalk lodging in corn.

Quan Vuong

Quan is a math major junior at NYUAD. He likes cats.

Krishna Gaire

Krishna Gaire is a sophomore from Nepal studying Computer Engineering. He believes that the integration of computer engineering and biology will bring better advances in health care and also makes it accessible to people in poor countries. Krishna spends his free time reading books, listening to NEWS, hanging out with friends or watching new and exciting science fiction movies.

Jovan Jovancevic

Another way is to scale the image itself. That's what we have done with the image on the right here. As you can maybe see if you make the window very wide, JPEG images don't scale very well. But if the image is a diagram or a graph in SVG format, scaling in fact works beautifully. Here is the mark-up we used:

Dhanya Baby

Dhanya Baby is a sophomore who is studying Biology and History. She was born in India, grew up in Singapore but calls Australia home. She hates cats.

Muhammad Shujaat

Another way is to scale the image itself. That's what we have done with the image on the right here. As you can maybe see if you make the window very wide, JPEG images don't scale very well. Tina Kim

Tina/Chanyong is a sophomore at NYUAD and a rising biologist/ art historian. She likes cats.

Sahan S Tampoe

Sahan is a sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering from Colombo, Sri Lanka. He has a keen interest in designing and prototyping basically anything in addition to development in the field of sustainable energy in the world. He intends to specialize in Aeronautical Engineering in future. He is an active cricket player and passionate fan of the game and would never shy away from a conversation about it. He also enjoys singing, playing the guitar and having late night conversations with friends about the meaning of life!
