She works in Dr. Bateman’s Osteoporosis Biomechanics laboratory where she studies bone loss. She will complete her Honors Thesis in this lab studying the effects of Hind Limb Unloading and spaceflight on bone loss in mice as well as the effect of Sclerostin Antibody countermeasure using Finite Element Analysis. In addition, she completed an Additive Manufacturing Research Experience for Undergraduates on the effect of architecture on bioactive glass scaffolds for bone repair.
