37 °C
The Overview: We have an heat responsive system designed to respond and counteract changes in temperature in both ways. As the temperature decreases, catalase production increases(exothermic breakdown of hydrogen peroxide). When there is an increase in temperature, urease production is stimulated(endothermic breakdown of urea). The two systems respond to each other through inserted lac-inducible systems. The short of the story, we pretty much got heat stabilizer bacteria, acting like an air conditioner, heating and cooling as required and we need a project name. We are much too 'conditioned' to come with good names right now. So iGEM community, please help us! | ||||
