Ophir Ospovat

President

Ophir is a Junior majoring in Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, and Molecular & Cellular Biology. He works in the Wente Lab investigating the effects of the Ran gradient on mitochondria in the context of HGPS. As President, Ophir is responsible for overseeing the different divisions of the team, including planning projects, fundraising, managing team resources, and outreach.

Stephen Lee

Vice President

Stephen is a Junior majoring in Biomedical Engineering. He works in the Friedman Lab using CRISPR-Cas9 to study the role of telomere-associated proteins in double-stranded break repair in yeast. As Vice President, Stephen conducts lab work for the team, manages team resources, and assists with organizing team events.

Sikandar Raza

Treasurer

Sikandar is a Sophomore majoring in chemistry and neuroscience. As Treasurer, Sikandar is responsible for team fundraising and ordering lab supplies, in addition to conducting lab work.

Jarrod Shilts

Director of Research

Jarrod is a Junior majoring in Neuroscience and Molecular & Cellular Biology. He works in the Broadie Lab where he is using genetic engineering approaches to study synaptic development in Drosophila. As Director of Research, Jarrod is responsible for leading the team’s synthetic biology division, including planning projects, designing and running experiments, coordinating lab work, managing the lab space, and training members.

Daniel McClanahan

Director of Software

Danny is a Junior majoring in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, and Math. As Director of Software, Danny is responsible for leading the team’s software division, including planning projects, writing programs, and coordinating coding work.

Anna Hwang

Director of Design

Anna is a Junior majoring in Computer Science. As Director of Design, Anna is responsible for the graphic design of the team’s official wiki pages, drawing figures, and designing team logos, banner and other paraphernalia.

Will Cox

Director of Mathematical Modeling

Will is a Junior majoring in Math and Philosophy with a minor in Scientific Computing. Will is responsible for creating and overseeing the team's mathematical modeling.

Daniel Shaykevich

Daniel is a sophomore studying Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology. He conducts lab work for the team.
