Project Results

All genetic components yielded successful growth and expected phenotypic results (which was confirmed via sequencing), with the exceptions of:

  • SVA3: Despite repeated attempts, it would not grow viable colonies when transformed into bacteria. We had to order more of the RBS (BBa_B0034) that had already been transformed into bacteria. Temporarily replaced with SVA18 (BBa_B0030).
  • SVA7: Despite repeated attempts and addition of several other parts, would yield viable colonies; however, none exhibited the expected phenotype of blue fluorescence.
