Mingdao High School is a private secondary school located at Taichung City, Taiwan. The school serves grades 7-12. There are about 8,500 students, and its current principal is Albert T. Wang. Mingdao teaches 7 major subjects: Chinese, English, Math, Science, Social Science, Information, and Liberal Arts. Our School Mingdao High School

Pei-Hong Chen Instructor I’m an iGEM lover beginning at NYMU-Taipei team in 2011. I took a PhD degree in Microbiology & Immunology at College of Medicine, National Taiwan University. From then on, I love gene cloning and viral vector construction and always think how to improve the skills and apply to the real world. iGEM & Synthetic Biology are really nice places to meet people, inspire ideas as well as transform the world by biotech. In addition, I’d also like to educate undergraduate school students to open their mind in biotech and let their imagination to come true thru iGEM & Synthetic Biology. She is a legend of SR proteins research working in Academia Sinica, Taiwan. We discussed the proposal and experiment design with her as well as acquired materials of SR genes for genetic cloning from her lab. Now she transferred the research interests to mRNA metabolism and post-transcriptional control.
