Public Outreach
For National Science Week 2015, we teamed up with the ARC Centres of Excellence for Translational Photosynthesis and Plant Energy Biology to run stalls on optogenetics, photosynthesis and DNA extraction.
School Outreach
We headed out to Melba Copland Secondary School in order to challenge high school students with science ethics as well as introduce them to genetic engineering.
Multimedia
We've found that the use of multimedia has vastly improved our ability to communicate complex scientific ideas. We've constructed two videos: an animation of our light-inducible CRY2/CIB1 system and a video demonstrating our public outreach activities.
