Mixed-Reality Cell
Bidirectinal coupling between real and virtual bio-oscillator
Overview
A genetic oscillator was built in E.coil as the real part while an e-oscillator was simulated in a computer as the virtual part. To realize our idea, two issues should be taken into account. The two parts should have the ability to interact with each other and cells have to keep alive for the long and real-time observation. Thus, an interface device is needed to settle them. This page will demonstrate information about the interface and it can be divided into several parts. Firstly, it’s an introduction and shows the necessity of interface device. Then, the whole design and current progress of device is showed.
Finally, we will present other devices using for coupling with the virtual part and lab test. Though we are not professional engineering students and not good at hardware, we keep learning relevant knowledge of hardware during the whole summer. Many factors are considered to make the device more accurate.
