Bug Shoo - an innovator repellent
The Bug shoo is the representation of our project for society.
It is the way that our team designed a product, manufactured with the tools of synthetic biology, which may be effective in combating diseases transmitted by insect vectors, such as dengue. Its active ingredient is d-limonene, a gift terpene in cítrricas fruits and repellent action. Its production will be performed by plasmolisadas and bacteria that have been genetically programmed for that perform this function.
Find out in our project the three main characteristics that make a single Shoo Bug repellent and could be presented later to the market. Also, follow along as our team has developed Policy & Practices of structured activities to raise awareness about dengue.
