Discussion with Doctor V Ramasubramaniam
As part of human practises we decided to perform two tasks. First, we decided to have a discussion with a doctor who specialises in infectious diseases so that we could get a closer look at the real world situation regarding antibiotic resistance. Dr. Ramasubramanian, a senior consultant in Infectious Diseases, HIV, Tropical Medicine and Travel Medicine at Apollo Hospitals. After his under-graduation at the Madras Medical College and a post graduation in Internal Medicine from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh he trained in UK and the USA in infectious diseases. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Glasgow and also holds Diplomas in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene and in Genito-Urinary Medicine from London. He specializes in Infection Control, HIV medicine, Tropical Infections and Travel Health. Dr.V.Ramasubramaniam is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and heads the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute.
