We have hooked it up to the university data network, allowing full ssh access from home. Or anywhere else too, via the university VPN :)  We have also set up the wifi card to act as a wifi hot spot for direct access. It also doubles as a wifi hotspot for internet access! Finally, we have set up a multiplexing camera streaming server to allow remote access to the microscope. Once we have a motorised stage, we will also allow control of it over the network too...'));
