Bronze Silver Gold
Registered for iGEM, had an awesome summer, and attended the Giant Jamboree. Experimentally validated at least one new BioBrick Part/Device of our own design, and showed that it works as expected. Integrated the issues we investigated through policies and practices into the design of our project and further policy and practices events. We investigated questions beyond the bench through a continuous learning process, where we used feedback from stakeholders to conduct effective and relevant outreach events, and ultimately we were able to shift the focus of our project based on what we had learned and the questions ("beyond the bench") that we had answered.
Created a Team Wiki! Submitted multiple new parts to the iGEM Parts Registry (different from submission for Bronze medal criteria). Improved the function / characterization of a previously existing BioBrick Part created by another team, and entered the information into the Registry.
Completed Judging Form. Identified, investigated, and addressed issues related to sustainability and safety in the context of our "Pro-bee-otic" and Colony Collapse Disorder. We consulted our stakeholders, carried out educational public engagement activities, and reached out to the media to have a wider reach on public perception.
Created an attribution page for our team members, advisors, host labs, and sponsors.
Documented at least one new standard BioBrick Part/Device central to our project and was submitted to the iGEM Registry.
