Team Heidelbergs Video Project
What is all this about?
We have thought of a project which is capable of showing the power of change of synthetic biology to solve the problems that exist in your community. Our aim is to show that synthetic biology and the iGEM-Teams can make a difference. Through the project we want to reflect the diversity of issues that have their origin on all continents.
So, how does our idea work?
We, the iGEM-Team Heidelberg 2015, will send out question of our local community to up to three other iGEM-Teams. These iGEM teams try to find an answer to those local problems and then record their answer in a 3 min video. After answering the question you received from us, you should go to your community and find three local problems that people think biology should solve in the future. Then you should record those three questions and send them out to three other iGEM-Teams that you think can solve them best. After you have filmed everything you send it back to us and we will process the videos into a movie. The next team repeats the same pattern of work.
Workflow:
- Receive a question from an iGEM-Team
- Answer the problem and make a video of your plans
- Go to your community and detect local problems
- Send the video of your solution and the problems that people have in your community back to us
- Pass on the question to another iGEM-Team that will do just the same as you did.
Guidelines:
- Your video (interview of your community and your solution) should not be longer than 3 minutes
- Format: 16:9, horizontal, HD
- The entire video must be in English
- Please make sure that you are not breaking any local laws and make sure that you are allowed to film these people (please ensure that these people are old enough)
- Upload the video to our dropbox or mail it to us
Love Team Heidelberg!
