Developing the research is the first step after iGEM. This would be to consolidate and confirm the ideas. For any product or method to be credible in the forensic science industry the early research needs to be verified by multiple academic institutions. This is to make sure the idea is scientificly robust and worth investing time and money into. The verifeid research could then help bring a product to market or aid in the courts of law. In the courts of law those who wrote the papers could stand as an expert witness to give expert evidence. The research could form the begining of a product design process.

For ourselfs it would mean getting back into the lab to spend more time on the project. We would need to fix the cracks that appeared during the course of the 10 weeks.

If any of the project was made into a product we would need to test what environmental factors would affect its use. Futhermore, We’d also need to run basic tests to see how it would interact with different terrain. This means running toxiological tests on everything we have created.The key test will be too see how the bio-spray and fingerprint ageing would work in a outdoor and open area, in comparison to a dometic scene. Again, the results would be mad epublic so it can be peer reviewed. After this we could the look to commercialise our ideas and contiune development.
