Codes for the Hok/Sok toxin system. This system naturally evolved in bacteria, possibly through a selfish gene paragiagm, and is used to keep plasmids.
Unstable RFP
Complete with a constitutive promotor, this fluorescent protein is expressed continuously throughout the cell. The half life of the protein is about 1 hour, as proteases have a high affinity for it.
