Team:UCSF/Attributions

ATTRIBUTIONS

During the summer, a diverse group of five college students and five recent high school graduates came together to work on various components of the “Talk Alpha To Me” project. These parts ranged from the intricacies of creating and cloning our own genetic circuits, to learning how to program, and designing all of the parts for our website. Our team was also involved in collaborations with other teams and introduced Wiki Flicks - which encouraged teams to create personalized video abstracts for their projects.

SUPERVISION

GENERAL SUPPORT

General support was provided by Kara Helmke. She acted as our team advisor and coordinator. Lab procedures and daily activities were done under her supervision. Kara also helped plan and organize our team's work-flow and provided assistance when necessary.
Additionally, all of our mentors regularly provided feedback and advice on our progress and presentations at weekly meetings.

MODELING SUPPORT

Modeling support was provided by Kevin Hartman and Weiyue Ji. They gave weekly lessons on using our modeling software, MATLAB, and assisted us in creating our modeling equations.
